Portrait of the sign

Dear Sagittarius friends, the ancient poet sees you at the reins of fiery horses, able to tame every beast, and because the archer always keeps the arrow drawn, he grants you steady nerves, a keen heart, quick movements and a chest that knows no tiredness. You recognise yourself: you need a horizon. A journey, a course, a new language, a big idea to believe in: without it, you go out. You are an optimist by nature, honest to the point of blunder, generous with your time and your opinions, and people forgive your frankness because they feel there is no malice in it. In love you want a companion for adventures, not a keeper; at work you shine where you can teach, explore, persuade, less where you must sit at a desk checking commas. The risk is promising more than you can deliver and running when the road narrows. The poet dwells on the beasts: those born under the double body of the Centaur follow the herds across the fields, tame every four-footed creature, soften tigers, take the rage out of the lion, talk with the elephant and bend its bulk to shows of human art; and he explains why: in your sign the human part sits above the animal part, and therefore rules it. It is an image that concerns you: you have strong instincts and you govern them with intelligence, you can make what is bigger than you obey without violence, by voice and patience. You are a tamer, of horses, of situations, of difficult people, and that is where all your charisma lies. The advice: before aiming the next arrow further, look where the last one landed. Aim improves with memory.

«At, quibus in bifero Centauri corpore sors est nascendi concessa, libet subiungere currus, ardentis et equos ad mollia ducere frena et totis armenta sequi pascentia campis, quadrupedum omne genus positis domitare magistris, exorare tigres rabiemque auferre leoni cumque elephante loqui tantamque aptare loquendo artibus humanis varia ad spectacula molem. quippe ferae mixtum est hominis per sidera corpus impositumque manet, quocirca regnat in illas. quodque intenta gerit curvato spicula cornu, et nervos tribuit membris et acumina cordi et celeris motus nec delassabile pectus.»

The Moon in Sagittarius

The Moon is passing through Sagittarius: the mood turns open, optimistic, restless. People want to move, travel, say what they think, believe in something. A good day for study, sport and new contacts; less good for patience and for promises that must be kept.
