Portrait of the sign

Dear Libra friends, the ancient poet entrusts you with measures and the weights of things, the tables of the law, and one sentence that describes you entirely: when something hangs unresolved and needs a judge, it is the scales of Libra that decide. You are the one who weighs. You see everyone’s reasons, and that makes you a precious mediator and, at times, a person who never chooses. You love beauty, harmony, gentle manners, the tidy room and the conversation without shouting: conflict costs you physical effort. In love you are made for the couple, you look for a partner to build a balance with, and you suffer when you lose it; at work you shine where diplomacy, taste and a sense of justice are needed, less where one must decide fast and alone. The risk is saying yes so as not to displease and then regretting it. The poet has you born at the moment when night equals day and the vintage brings the ripe gifts of Bacchus, and gives you an illustrious companion, Palamedes, who first put numbers to things and names to sums, and fixed measures and figures. Not only scales, then: also calculation, accounts, the taste for the exact figure. Then the laws: you know the written law and the words hanging from light signs, you know what is allowed and what penalty follows the forbidden, and you are the perpetual praetor whose door people knock at for an opinion; Servius, the great jurist, could have been born under no other star. You are the one friends call when a fair judgement is needed, and you can give it, provided you agree to give it. The advice: every day take one small decision without asking anyone. Scales are for weighing, not for postponing.

The Moon in Libra

The Moon is passing through Libra: people seek company, agreement, beauty. Decisions are taken in pairs, everyone lets themselves be influenced gladly and avoids a clash. A good day for meetings, gentle negotiations, reconciliations; less good for anyone who must decide alone and fast.
