Portrait of the sign

Dear Leo friends, the ancient poet has no doubts about your nature: hunters, people who live on exploits and trophies hung over the door, with a temper quick to sudden anger and just as quick to let it go, and a plain judgement that comes from a clean heart. That is all of it. You need a stage, not out of vanity, but because your warmth only works if someone receives it. You are generous to excess, loyal to the point of stubbornness, and when you get angry you do it properly, but you hold no grudge: the storm passes and the sun returns. In love you want to be chosen and admired, and you repay it with a king’s loyalty; at work you shine where you can lead, decide, represent, less where you must obey in silence. The risk is mistaking pride for dignity and never asking for help. The poet is concrete to the point of rawness: there are those like you who pacify the forests through fear and hang the hides on proud doorposts, and those who, without leaving the city walls, ply the same trade in town, with the meat displayed on the counter and the profit that comes from the slaughter, serving other people’s luxury. It is an ancient way of saying that you are made for big game: large goals, visible exploits, a gain that can be seen. You feed on conquests, and when the prey is missing you invent another battle. Your temper, he says, is even: anger comes suddenly but calm returns quickly, and judgement stays simple because the heart is clean. The advice: let someone lend you a hand, now and then. A king who accepts help reigns longer.

The Moon in Leo

The Moon is passing through Leo: the mood turns proud, warm, generous, eager to please and to be noticed. People spend gladly, love out loud, look for compliments. A good day for parties, invitations and decisions of the heart; watch out for wounded pride.
