Portrait of the sign
Dear Taurus friends, the ancient poet entrusts you with the fields and the plain farmers: hard work comes to you in peace, and the reward is not praise but the harvest. It is a portrait that still holds. You do not need applause, you need to see something grow, to know the bank account holds, that the house is warm and the table is set. You are slow to start and hard to stop: once you have decided, your steadiness is worth more than other people’s talent. The poet adds a tender detail, the little Cupid living under your brow: beneath the practical shell there is a heart that attaches itself for good, that loves with its hands, with gestures, with presence. Your risk is stubbornness: you mistake loyalty for never changing your mind. In love you ask for security, at work you shine where continuity is needed. There is another trait the poet grants you: the Bull bows its own neck and asks for the yoke itself, carries the sun between its horns and calls the idle fields back to their old labour, leader of the work in person, never lying down in the furrow. From this sign come Serranus and Curius, men handed the fasces in the middle of their fields, and that dictator Rome went to fetch from behind his plough. It means you lead by example and not by voice, that people trust you because they see you at work, and that you love quiet praise more than honours: mind and body, the poet says, are strong through their slow mass, a strength that makes no noise but holds everything up. One piece of advice: now and then let someone surprise you. You lose nothing, you gain air.

The Moon in Taurus
The Moon is passing through Taurus: the mood turns calm, concrete, a little conservative. People want safe things, money well spent, affectionate gestures and simple pleasure. A good day for household matters and for anyone who has to be patient.
