The World
Major Arcana · number 21 · Il Mondo
Upright
The World is the card of completion: assured success, a reward that comes after a long road, and often a journey, a relocation, a change of city or job that opens new horizons. If you have worked hard, these days you reap. In love it is a union reaching fullness; with money, a cycle closing in the black; in health, a balance regained. It is no accident that you feel ready to set off. The practical advice: accept the reward without belittling it, and if an offer arrives from far away, consider it seriously before saying it is not for you.

Reversed
Reversed, the World comes to a halt: inertia, fixity, stagnation, the feeling that everything stays the same and the journey has been postponed once again. Perhaps you turned down a change out of fear, or perhaps you are waiting for others to move first. If these days you feel like a fish in a tank with the sea two steps away, it is no accident. Be careful not to mistake permanence for safety: what does not move slowly wears out. The practical advice: take the first concrete step, book it, apply, ask. The rest of the circle closes on its own.
